This individual represents the company in communications with clients from initial effort, throughout the entire course of agreement activity, and in post-agreement activities on a regular basis; communicates with the appropriate Resource Center Manager and Account Manager or other designee relative to project status and performance; and manages the project team. Oversees the technical performance of managed projects and provides technical support of remediation and engineering projects in all sectors of the company. Provides technical review for environmental investigations, remedial actions, and third-party oversight/review of other contractors’ work and performance.
Demonstrated understanding of and experience in the CERCLA process and the National Contingency Plan, as well as relevant regulations of the following states: MA, CT, NH, RI, ME, and VT. Additional experience with the relevant regulations of NY and NJ is preferable.
Demonstrated experience in managing and/or executing projects for federal entities such as EPA, USACE, DoD. This experience should include conceptual site model development; designing, planning, and executing field data gathering programs (including CERCLA remedial investigations); data evaluation; remedial alternative screening (including CERCLA feasibility studies); community involvement; and other related technical support. Knowledge of geology and hydrogeology experience in the northeastern USA is preferred. Familiarity with EPA’s risk assessment process is preferred, but not required. Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring various forms of environmental media remediation is preferred.
Must have a valid Driver’s license and own transportation. A working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of professional software applications is required. Knowledge and experience in other software environments such as GIS, Modflow, and graphics generation is beneficial. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual 8- hour refresher, as applicable, are required.
Licensure as a Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) and/or Professional Engineer is preferable but not required. Similarly, certified geologists (CPG/PG) are also preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Geology/Environmental Engineering from a four-year college is required; Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience is required.Start your Application Today
