Civil Internship - The internship is for the planning and design of civil engineering projects such as site development, landfills, solar and infrastructure projects. Primary responsibilities will be support of design engineers with plan development and document production using engineering software and computer hardware necessary to complete engineering analysis and engineering design projects. Software may include computer aided design and drafting (CADD) software, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), stormwater design software applications, and spreadsheet applications. Hardware may include personal computers and plotters to prepare engineering and design documents.

This position may require field work which would include observation at projects sites prior to, during, or after construction to assess feasibility, monitor progress, and/or ensure conformance. Other related duties and responsibilities may also be assigned.

Candidate must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and be able to demonstrate applicable coursework and experience using AutoCAD software. Must have a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications.

This position is for undergraduate level coursework in Civil Engineering and/or Civil Technologies.

Staff Engineer – (Entry Level 0-2 Years) The successful candidate will work in a team environment and be responsible for preparing site designs utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D under the direction of senior staff. Candidate will effectively collaborate with team members and others to efficiently execute assignments by support design engineers with plan development and document production using engineering software and computer hardware necessary to complete engineering analysis and design projects. Working knowledge of MS Office is required. Candidate will be challenged to work within time constraints to meet multiple deadlines, and they must be able to work independently or in a group to achieve project goals and deliverables. Candidate must have a willingness to grow professionally in their role within the Civil Engineering Team.

This position may require field work which would include field investigation or construction observation at projects sites to assess feasibility, monitor progress, and/or ensure conformance. Other related duties and responsibilities may also be assigned. Must have valid driver’s license and own transportation.

Candidate must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and a working knowledge of MS Office. You must also be able to work with time constraints, changing deadlines, and multiple projects. Must have a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications.

This position requires B.S. in Civil Engineering (or graduating in the Spring of 2019 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering)

Environmental / Geologist Internship – The internship is for supporting environmental investigation and cleanup projects such as site investigation, groundwater quality assessment, and environmental construction oversight projects. Primary responsibilities will be support of geologists and environmental engineers with soil and groundwater sampling, drilling oversight, report production, and data tabulation and evaluation. Software may include Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel. Hardware may include personal computer usage for applications.

This position requires field work which would include working with sampling teams and support of subsurface investigations for petroleum and hazardous substances. Candidate may have to travel to distant project sites within the New England area, requiring overnight stays. Other related duties and responsibilities may also be assigned. Must have valid driver’s license and own transportation.

Candidate must have a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel software applications. Candidate must have a working knowledge or word processing and spreadsheet software applications. Must have (or be willing to obtain on own time) OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification and annual 8-hour refresher, as applicable.

This position is for undergraduate level coursework in Environmental Engineering and/or related Environmental Engineering studies.
